Level 1 Training can be accessed via e-learning and takes approximately 2 hours to complete.

The course covers a variety of child protection issues and is suitable for anyone who comes into contact with children. It is designed to be suitable for all not just child specialists. The course aims to inform about the various types of abuse or neglect to a child and then explain what you must do if you suspect that a child is being abused or neglected.

By the end of the training participants will be aware of:

• The 4 types of abuse as defined in Working Together to Safeguard Children (2010)

• Potential indicators of each type of abuse

• Key agencies roles and responsibilities for safeguarding children

• What to do if you are worried about children's safety or well-being.
