The DSCB has produced information which is available to download from this site to assist people responsible for managing events (public and private sector).  Best practice guidance taken and adapted from the Sheffield Licensing Project is available to download from this site.  The purpose of the information and guidance is to prioritise the safety of children and young people at the planning and operational stages of events.  It is intended to support and advise the people responsible for managing events.

·       Appendix 1 – Risk Assessment Tool for Safeguarding Children and Young People at Events –this has been designed to outline the risks posed to children at events and measure that can be put in place to reduce those risks.

·       Appendix 2 – Child Under Temporary Supervision of Event Staff – a protocol for staff having temporary supervision of unaccompanied children.

·       Appendix 3 – The Role of the Children’s Safeguarding Champion at Events – an explanation of the role of the Champion

·       Appendix 4 – Children in Entertainment Summary – Information about children working in television and other performances and links to information around legislation.

·       Appendix 5 – Children in Employment Summary – Information and links in relation to the law when employing children.
